Accurate Information

Players must provide genuine registration details and disclose their cricketing background. Eligibility requirements apply regardless of trial score.

  1. Registration & Verification: Complete player registration, provide required details, and verify eligibility and cricketing background. Players who do not meet eligibility criteria may be disqualified.
  2. Physical Fitness & Warm-Up: Basic fitness, agility, coordination and movement may be assessed. Follow trial officials' instructions.
  3. Skill Assessment: Batters are assessed on timing, shot selection and control; bowlers on line, length, accuracy and variations; wicketkeepers on catching, glove work, footwork and stumping; fielders on catching, ground fielding, throwing accuracy and speed.
  4. Match Simulation: Practice matches or match-like situations may be used to assess decision-making, game awareness, teamwork and performance under pressure.
  5. Scoring & Evaluation: Assessors record performance against the applicable criteria. Scores may help franchise owners compare players in relevant roles.
  6. Franchise Selection: The respective team/franchise owner makes the final player-selection decision. Trial scores do not guarantee selection, and the GPL Committee does not select teams on behalf of franchise owners.

The franchise owner has the final authority to select the team.
